Saebo Arm Training

Hobbs Rehabilitation has SaeboFlex® trained therapists to assist you with your arm training programme. The Saebo arm training programme utilises the SaeboFlex® and SaeboStretch™ splints; full details of which can be found on the Saebo website.

The SaeboFlex® is for active grasp & release exercises, specifically chosen by your Hobbs Rehabilitation clinician to strengthen your upper arm following Stroke, Head Injury, Incomplete Spinal Cord Injury & Cerebral Palsy. We offer FREE assessments for potential SaeboFlex® users. Please click here to see the basic arm activity that you need.

The SaeboStretch™ allows you to keep your wrist and fingers on a low load, long duration stretch to combat soft tissue shortening after a neurological insult; further details can be found here.

The weekly class is held on a Tuesday between 11:15 and 13:15 hours at the clinic. The session is run as a circuit training event, so that the SaeboFlex® user completes two 45 minute sessions wearing the SaeboFlex®.

The class is ideal for those individuals that enjoy group work. You will be given a new exercise for your home programme every week.

The ideal is a minimum of two, 45 sessions a day with the SaeboFlex® at home, then on a soft tissue stretch with the SaeboStretch™ or the appropriate hand splint overnight.
