  Hobbs Rehabilitation
    Occupational Therapists aim to help disabled people achieve their maximum level of function when carrying out their every day activities. These daily activities include both work and leisure.

Your therapist will work closely with you to assess your current strengths and requirements, and will provide you with advice and treatment to enable you to regain an acceptable quality of life.

Occupational Therapists can work in many different way, and a selection of interventions available at Hobbs Rehabilitation is explained below.

Range of treatments available

Assessment
In areas of personal care, work or leisure that are becoming difficult.

Treatment Programmes
These programmes are individually tailored to your needs and include specific goals to be achieved. These programmes are continually monitored and evaluated.

Home Visits
These assess your function in your own environment and establish any needs for equipment, adaptations, or further rehabilitation.

Hand Therapy
May involve splinting to improve function, positioning, comfort or hygiene, as well as hand exercise programmes to improve hand function.

Joint Sessions
These can be arranged with any member of the multidisciplinary team e.g. Physiotherapist or Speech Therapist.

Group Sessions
These would involve small groups of clients working together on similar issues such as life skills.

All the Occupational Therapist working at Hobbs Rehabilitation are senior state-registered OTs, some have postgraduate qualifications and are current practitioners and specialist in their field.

All the Occupational Therapists conform to the College of Occupational Therapists' Code of Ethics and Standards, and are members of the appropriate professional groups.

Terms & Conditions

Payment Of Fees

Payment is expected to be made at the end of the month when you will receive a bill. We will claim fees for those patients covered by BUPA, PPP or other private health insurance companies but if the costs are not received then you will be expected to pay the cost of the sessions.

  • Assessment (1 hour): £90
  • Treatment per session (1 hour): £80
  • Domiciliary visit within 10 miles of the practice: £100
  • Domiciliary visit outside 10 miles of the practice: £130

Cancellations

Please give the maximum amount of notice possible. We will not charge a cancellation fee unless it is a repeated event then you will incur the cost of the full treatment session.

General

Please come in comfortable clothing for your session. Please help yourself to drinks. Please do feedback any comments or ideas to your therapists.
