At Hobbs Rehabilitation we run a hypertonicity clinic on a regular basis to advise and treat patients who have problems with an increase in tone, muscle spasm or clonus. |
|
Each patient is individually assessed jointly by their therapist and Professor Udo Kischka, Consultant in Neurological Rehabilitation from the Oxford Centre of Enablement. A treatment package is decided which may involve the review of antispasmodic drugs, botulinum toxin injections and follow-up splinting by our hand therapist or orthotist, if appropriate.
